The following is an excerpt of the original transcript by the deputy minister of Malaysia International Trade and Industries Ministry expressing his support of the publication.
“In our effort to promote Malaysian Halal-certified products manufactured by local SMEs within the global arena, there is a distinct need for a comprehensive publication produced for use by all sectors, including the Government, the industry and the consumer.
For the industry, information contained in The International Halal SME Report Directory will provide a distinctive edge for local Halal producers within the global markets, in addition to developing information and trade network as well as making available valuable lead source for trade partnerships between local and international Halal producers.
For the consumers, the same information can also be used to provide informed choices prior to buying and using Halal-certified products. In addition, it will also help promote products made by local small and medium (SME) producers, and at the same time, elevate the value and standings of the Malaysian Halal Certificate within the global markets.
The Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industries hereby commends and applauds the efforts undertaken by H Media, and fully supports the publishing of The International Halal SME Report Directory.
We are also proud of the work carried out by a local Malaysian company such as H Media, led by Mr Kamarul Aznam Kamaruzaman, in elevating and promoting the Halal Malaysia brand within the international arena.”
